Radiant Neon, 1 of 8: Elizabeth

Put on those sunglasses...as we dream of the bright sun and warm temps of summer, we're going bold and bright in the Studio with Tsukineko's Radiant Neon Inks.  Join us over the next several weeks as we share eight projects featuring these incredible inks with fun techniques and happy color combos!

Besides all the wonderful colors, I am enjoying all the fabulous ways you can use Radiant Neon inks.
Pardon the pun, but I couldn't "resist" using today's technique.
To begin, a piece of white cardstock was stamped with Penny Black's Star Ivy in Tsukineko's VersaMark Watermark ink and heat embossed with white powder.  Electric Blue Radiant Neon ink was then rubbed over the top with a sponge dauber.  (Fabulous Feature:  Extremely creamy and blendable.)  The blended ink was removed from the embossed design with a damp cloth.
A small strip was trimmed from the stamped design and attached to the card base for a decorative edge.  Orange acrylic paint was applied to the centers of the ivy leaves to create flowers.
An elevated panel die cut with the scallop circle from "Pinwheel" (Penny Black Creative Dies) forms a happy window.  A coordinating bloom was designed from die cutting a flower (Pinwheel set) from a piece of the Radiant Neon resist/ink design. Embellishing features of splattered speckles and a big yellow brad were used as accents.

The Edge-To-Edge sentiment (Penny Black) was cut to create a two-line phrase and stamped in Onyx Black VersaFine.  Tsukineko's Onyx Black VersaFine is my favorite ink for stamping sentiments.  It yields bold and crisp impressions.

Jill will be in the Studio tomorrow with more Radiant Neon...her design is sure to "tickle" your creative imagination.
