"Tag" someone on their birthday with a wish.
This little tag with a built-in hanger can either be attached to a gift or used as a focal point on a greeting card.

Two white ATC Inchie Art Squares were used in the construction.  After a square window was cut from the top panel, Turquoise Gem VersaMagic was sponged across the top and then the pattern from Oscillations /Penny Black was stenciled across the front in Wedding Dress Memento Luxe.

To protect the stenciling and add a durable semi-gloss finish, the piece was sprayed with one layer of Krylon matte acrylic coating and two layers of Krylon gloss acrylic coating.

Using the front panel panel as a guide, the window was lightly traced on the back ATC Art Square.  The flower from Flower Sparks/Penny Black was inked in Tangelo and Lilac Posies Memento Ink with the stem being colored with a Bamboo Leaves Memento Marker.

A black sentiment (Snippets/Penny Black) adds a happy wish.

Before the two panels were adhered together, a small notch was carved from the back panel to accommodate the picture hanger.  This allowed the hanger to nestle between the two panels and provide a seamless seal when the pieces were glued together.

(Additional Inchie Art Square inspiration can be found on their blog HERE.)
This concludes our 6-part birthday theme.
We hope you enjoyed all the ideas.

For today's card I decided to combine happy flowers (Penny Black Creative Die 51-119 Flower Frolic) with happy birthday wishes.
Oh, and of course, I added some happy watercolor, too!

A bouquet of good wishes...

Flowers are candles waiting to be wished upon.

The small, elevated panel was lightly distressed with Sea Breeze VersaMagic to create an airy background.  The tall grasses from Sweet Home (Penny Black) were stamped in Onyx Black VersaFine, heat embossed with clear powder and fussy cut.  After coloring (Copic Y06, YG05, YG13, G24) they were wrapped with May Arts twine and attached to the panel with dimensional foam tape.

The sentiment from Snippets (Penny Black) stamped in black gently floats above the colorful flowers.  Each bloom (Tweet Things/Penny Black) was die cut from white cardstock, colored with Copics (RV17, RV21) and accented with a pearl.

Wishing you a day blooming with happiness!

I love the mixed fonts and verbiage in Penny Black's transparent sentiment stamp set, 30-297 Sprinkles and Smiles. For today's birthday wishes, I combined a sentiment from this particular set along with new Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Mixed Media Stencils.
And for an added bonus, here's an extra card using this same stenciling technique along with a Penny Black sentiment from the transparent stamp set, 30-283 Snippets...

What better day to "dream big" than on one's birthday?
To create this card I used Penny Black's large-scale brushstroke stamp, 40-330 Pop Pop Poppy.  To add a golden sheen and watercolor effect to the stamping, I also combined this stamp with a homemade golden spray created with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Texture Luxe.

I am stamping a sugary confection for today's birthday wish.

This little cupcake fairy (Cupcake by Penny Black/Illustrated by Mo Manning) stamped in Onyx Black VersaFine, heat embossed in clear powder and colored with Copics is full of giggly delight.  A thin band of Beau Jardin designer paper along the bottom adds to the festivities.

Dandelion Memento sponged around the cupcake gave a soft glow and a few crystal gems by the sentiment (Sprinkles and Smiles/Penny Black) emphasize the celebration.

A separate cupcake fairy was stamped, fussy cut and attached on top of the original image so parts of her wings and hair could be softly curled up for extra dimension.  Crystal stickles was applied for "fairy dust".

Have a sweet day!
