It's a new year and we are still in the Studio
and we are still SMITTEN with stamping!
Join us as we share a few creations we just LOVED making.
Oh how true...I am smitten with stamping!
This sentiment couldn't more accurately depict what art does for my heart and soul. The sentiment is from a new Penny Black release and the set is called, most appropriately for today's post, "Smitten". The subtle design behind the flowers is an old favorite "Indian Wheel" (stamped in Niagara Mist VersaMagic) and the flowers are from a collection called "Berries Delight".
I really enjoyed the effect of combining different patterned papers to create the matted layers.
The flowers were colored with Staedtler Karat Aquarell watercolor pencils. After they were fussy cut, I pounced them with Frost VersaMark and heat embossed them with ultra thick embossing powder. I love how it looks an enamel embellishment!
Supplies: Penny Black - Smitten 30-455, Berries Delight 30-449, Indian Wheel 40-202, Golden Moment Designer Paper Pad 80-015.
Next we will see what Jill is smitten with.
You can be sure it will be a colorful delight!
