Friendship * Sunshine * Critters * Flowers
Join us over the next several weeks as we share cards that draw inspiration from the happiness of summer fun.
Every summer I dream of planting a garden full of flowers... but alas, it never seems to get done! Heehee! :) But at least I have managed to "grow" some blooms in the craft room.
On this card, I've combined Penny Black's beautiful brushstroke stamp, 40-546 Dancing Daisies, with the die cut corner element, 51-351 Pop Up Floral Corner. The background was painted with watercolors, stamped lightly with a script (PB 40-470), and then I also applied a light layer of gesso to tone down the script stamping and give it a slight white-washed effect. The edges were inked with Distress Ink using an ink blending tool and a foam pad.
The main panel was stamped using my MISTI and Tombow Dual Brush Pens, blending the stamped impression with a paintbrush and water.
Stay tuned... Elizabeth will be back soon with more summer fun!
Penny Black supplies: 51-351, 40-546, 51-132, 51-164, 40-470, 51-354
