We don't know about you, but here in the Studio we're ready to push aside the blazing sun and leap, or perhaps just gently fall, into the beautiful colors of Autumn and the happy treats of Halloween. We hope you will join us as we do just that over the next few weeks.
It's official --- fall has arrived!
However, what is one to do when you have so many favorite stamps to choose from to create a card?
Since I can't pick just one, I "mash them up"!!
This autumnal greeting was created by "mashing" these two Penny Black stamps together. I circled the images in red that I used from each set.

The girl and extra leaf were colored with Copic markers, fussy cut and then set aside.
The corner piece started as a white cardstock square and then was die cut with a circle to create the arc. The piece was coated with white gesso and then randomly watercolored with Grumbacher hues of orange, red and a hint of green. The small leaf was stamped in Spiced Chai StazOn. The finished piece was covered in gel medium.
The colored arc was attached to a white cardstock square with 3M Scotch Foam Mounting Tape. After the sentiment was stamped in Onyx Black VersaFine, the girl and extra leaf were attached. Black pen dots were added by hand to create a border along the left and bottom portions of the square.
To keep the balance of the design, it was matted with black cardstock on two sides and then a ribbon tab was added.
A white card base was matted with a piece of Madison Designer Paper antiqued with Peanut Brittle Memento Ink. The finished artwork was then attached to the front of the card with 3M Scotch Foam Mounting Tape.
I just had to use the other adorable little girl in Hello Autumn and made this second card.
Happy Fall!
