A bouquet of good wishes...

Flowers are candles waiting to be wished upon.

The small, elevated panel was lightly distressed with Sea Breeze VersaMagic to create an airy background.  The tall grasses from Sweet Home (Penny Black) were stamped in Onyx Black VersaFine, heat embossed with clear powder and fussy cut.  After coloring (Copic Y06, YG05, YG13, G24) they were wrapped with May Arts twine and attached to the panel with dimensional foam tape.

The sentiment from Snippets (Penny Black) stamped in black gently floats above the colorful flowers.  Each bloom (Tweet Things/Penny Black) was die cut from white cardstock, colored with Copics (RV17, RV21) and accented with a pearl.

Wishing you a day blooming with happiness!

I love the mixed fonts and verbiage in Penny Black's transparent sentiment stamp set, 30-297 Sprinkles and Smiles. For today's birthday wishes, I combined a sentiment from this particular set along with new Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Mixed Media Stencils.
And for an added bonus, here's an extra card using this same stenciling technique along with a Penny Black sentiment from the transparent stamp set, 30-283 Snippets...

What better day to "dream big" than on one's birthday?
To create this card I used Penny Black's large-scale brushstroke stamp, 40-330 Pop Pop Poppy.  To add a golden sheen and watercolor effect to the stamping, I also combined this stamp with a homemade golden spray created with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Texture Luxe.

I am stamping a sugary confection for today's birthday wish.

This little cupcake fairy (Cupcake by Penny Black/Illustrated by Mo Manning) stamped in Onyx Black VersaFine, heat embossed in clear powder and colored with Copics is full of giggly delight.  A thin band of Beau Jardin designer paper along the bottom adds to the festivities.

Dandelion Memento sponged around the cupcake gave a soft glow and a few crystal gems by the sentiment (Sprinkles and Smiles/Penny Black) emphasize the celebration.

A separate cupcake fairy was stamped, fussy cut and attached on top of the original image so parts of her wings and hair could be softly curled up for extra dimension.  Crystal stickles was applied for "fairy dust".

Have a sweet day!

Going Gold; 2 of 2: Elizabeth

We're going for gold here in the STUDIO this week!
Trendy gold CARD accents that is...

I was inspired by Cartier's jewelry for my design.

I am always mesmerized by their gold designs accented with a beautiful gemstone.  To capture that feeling, I die cut Happy News from heavy cardstock and painted it with gold acrylic paint.  A separate heart punched from heavy cardstock, colored red and then coated with glossy accents was my gem.

The whole design was set atop a delicately embossed Interlocking panel bordered on the bottom edge with Coco Style designer paper.

The small window die cut with Tagged is perfectly sized to hold an array of sentiments (Amazing) for a variety of occasions.

We're going for gold here in the STUDIO this week!
Trendy gold CARD accents that is...

For my gold accent, I've kept things simple and have added one pop of gold to the center of my flower (Penny Black Creative Die 51-133 Camelia) using a CraftWorks Candi dot embellishment.
And you know what? That bit of gold is my favorite thing about this card!
And since I loved that bit of trendy gold so much, I think I will keep those Candi dots out on my desk so they can be incorporated into other projects. (I'm not the only person who forgets I have things if they aren't sitting in plain view on my desk; right?)

Woolly Delights with Elizabeth

We're sharing multiple ways to create woolly delights this week using Penny Black's miniature transparent set, 30-290 ...Not Easy.  One stamp set, so many possibilities!

Being different is what makes us all so individually wonderful!
Show someone how cool they are by telling them
how much they stand out in your life.

This card design is one of my favorites.  It is so adaptable for any friend or family member.  Just adjust the verbiage (Penny Black: The Sweetest and Amazing) and pick your "cool" color.  A little bit of Coco Style designer paper adds a stylish and trendy border.

You can create a "flock" of cards too.

We're sharing multiple ways to create woolly delights this week using Penny Black's miniature transparent set, 30-290 ...Not Easy.  One stamp set, so many possibilities!
Oh my gosh, this set makes me laugh.  As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to stamp a family of sheep, with the one black sheep talking to his mom.

The inside of the card features the sentiment "But Remember: What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.  (You're welcome.)" LOL

It's time for some woolly delights this week using Penny Black's miniature transparent set, 30-290 ...Not Easy!
Baaahhhh!

The Sweetest with Jill

Penny Black's miniature transparent set, 30-294 the Sweetest, is on both of our art tables this week. Here's how we each used the same stamp... but in very different ways.
I used the sillouette wildflowers from this set in two different ways.  First, I embossed them in white and then painted over the top with watercolors.

Next, I decided to get inky!  After inking my background and masking the ground, I stamped the flowers from 30-294 the Sweetest, using red ink.
